Mike first picked up a brush in 1994 to start a new hobby. He prefers to start his work with a pencil or ink sketch, completing the painting in watercolour, however he also works in pastels and sometimes acrylics on canvas.
"I have recently started painting animal portraits in pastels but my favourite subjects are landscapes, buildings and old vehicles, including tractors."
