Bill Cockburn

Bill Cockburn

Bill's career was in engineering. He served in the RAF as an Aero Engine Fitter and then worked in various areas of engineering before working for himself.

As a hobby Bill began to make metal sculptures using waste materials from his engineering company. This interest in the art world grew and he joined a painting group in 1982. Bill is now a member of four art groups and produces work for two printing companies.

Bill enjoys landscape painting, especially villages, which he likes to record before they alter with modern development. Bill also enjoys painting portraits of both people and animals, and works mostly in pastels and acrylics.
